I made a few changes to the first dread I did for the salamanders. I had someone comment on adding something to the arms and I thought it was a great suggestion. So below is what came out of it all.

Nothing to special, but it breaks up the green on the arms a fair bit. I will probably do some more to it in the near future, but for now this is what it is.

That dreadnought looks so cool with the flames on it’s fists. When I first started collecting Space Marines more than a decade ago my first army was a home-made Salamanders successor chapter I called the Steel Phoenix. I had a dreadnought with flames painted on the combat arm, so I knew it would look good if you did something similar. You did an excellent job with this model and I’m looking forward to more stuff like this from you in the future.

Thanks, I am planning on using them as rifleman’s more than close combat dreads, but I have all of the various arms for them and as such I need to use them. I am hoping they turn out well, I know they play well. I took a rough list to a little invite only event this weekend, aka replaced poker for most of us, and they smashed face most of the time so…

Looking good. Maybe wash the bits of columns? The white looks too stark in these pictures. It may look more on the tabletop

Thanks. It is still a possibility. I have a bit of a stone wash that I think would help it look a little more cough considering they are knocked over and damaged, or possibly some dust weathering onto them.
