Welcome to the new year

So I am been a bit remiss lately about things and I am going to kick it up a notch or two since we are at the start of the year. I plan on posting some battle reports, some early shots of my DKOK army coming together and do some coverage or Adepticon, specifically, all three main events for 40k. I needed a break from a lot of things and the last couple of weeks gave me that and so I am back in the saddle and ready to get some stuff done.

I am going to start doing some video reports as well…not that I want to show my neck beard self to the world, but I think that they are enjoyable, not that I will stop doing other things like written reports, but I will try and make it a bit more of a focus into the next year.

So…a bit of a divergence…
I ended up purchasing the new Risk legacy over the holidays and playing it now, 3 times, and I must say that collectively, the people who have played it with me, have all been impressed. The dynamic nature of the game has played well for all of us and we are quickly picking up more and more fun things. I now have 2 major cities, there is a continent named thunderdome, and we are all still wary of opening the do not ever open this pack of cards.

With all of that happy new year and I will put some new stuff up here soon.

Welcome back. Neckbeards unite! The video idea is intriguing. Another battle report idea is using Vassal to map out each turn. It seems time intensive, but I think it displays the tactics of the game the best.

I have played with Vassal a few times and never really enjoyed it. Not to say it does not serve it’s purpose, but it is not what I would call intuitive. At least with video I can justify buying a video camera for the hobby.
