This project is fairly simple, and not very time consuming. You will need about 30 minutes to perform this project.
1/8th inch drill bit x1
1/8th inch x 1/16th inch cylinder magnet x8
Superglue/other kind of glue
Where to get them:
There are several places to get the items needed to do all of this. When I bought magnets to do my project I personally used the Manufactorum. They are cheap and you can get all of the items you need to do the project from 1 location
After you have gotten the materials needed for this project you will need to take each of your weapons. All of them will be done in the same fashion so I feel I only need to show it in one form.
As you see from the picture above, each of the weapons have a hole already on them. You will take the drill bit and expand the existing hole in order to fit the magnet in properly. At this point you will need to pick the direction that the magnet will sit. You want them all to attach in the same direction so that they all hold together well. An easy way to ensure that everything is done in a similar direction is to use the Xacto knife to scratch the side of the magnets that would mark the direction they should all be held in.
If done correctly, what you should have is what is above. You have a set of weapons that have the magnets sitting flush in the holes that you have created.
As you can see the Xacto knife is pointing to the stub that is sticking out of the turret. You are going to cut this off flush with the hull.
What you should have is what you see above. You will have the stub cut off and it will now be flush the the turret. Now you need to take the drill bit and drill out from the center point where the stub had been. You want to drill down deep enough so that the magnet would be flush with the edge of the turret.
If done correctly, you should end up with a flush mounting point for the turret weapons.
